Update on 4,000 used, rare and regular CDS I recently bought for the store, lst 800 came in, second batch arriving weekend, plus new 180 gram vinyl due next Thursday. As well, we are really stocked up on vintage HAWAIIAN SHIRTS for summer fun at $6.00 S-XL and XXL and up at $8.00, a very thrifty way to brighten up the landscape. Went down to Lawrenceville's Nieds Hotel Saturday Night to see local country twanger Slim Forsythe , but arrived just as his set ended and Molly Alphabet and Band took the stage. Good voice, a band that is getting better as they begin to meld. Did see Slim do a three song duet with Molly, good taste will go back in July. And maybe catch her in the Rant coming up throughout the town. Got in about 400-500 good new records, Rory Gallaher, Dave Edmunds, some Beatles and more, and a little boost for the jazz section. First come, first served. Got some rare live cds of Bowie, Greatful Dead, Pink Floyd & Beatles in trades this week, going out fast. Store Hours are 11-7 p.m. Thursday through Monday. WE BUY * SELL * AND TRADE Very nice articles by Scott Mervis of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and one by Andy Mulkerin of City got us off the ground running. Since then the lads and lasses of Lawrenceville have been coming by to welcome us, say hello and shop for bargains. After a holiday go round, we have settled in quite nicely. The East End's BULLETIN MAGAZINE featured RATHER RIPPED on its cover and with a great article inside from Wesley Davis and a picture of me on the cover.
